Hello friends, I hope the summer is going well for you. Last year I made a series of livecoding videos on writing a backup script in bash to back up both the databases and files on a LAMP server. I said I would make the script available, but time passed, and the VM I had written it on was destroyed… Anyway, I came across a copy I had used for clients, where it has remained in production ever since.
So here it is, late but as promised, under the GPL licence, along with its configuration file. I will probably make a number of improvements soon, which will be a chance to make more videos, as it will replace the existing sxbackup script used with my LAMP stackx installer.
