€700k in ARR: that is the milestone I have just reached with ScalarX in Europe, this July.
It is not much compared with what I have done in the past in other businesses, but it is also a lot given the situation and the conditions in which this business was built, including:
– a business based on recurring revenue, built part-time from scratch starting in 2022
– two years during which my absolute priority was to fight an incurable autoimmune disease and to improve my health and longevity protocol, Life 0verride
– an extremely small team
– systems, products and infrastructure designed 100% in-house, with a constant focus on autonomy, freedom and independence
– an almost total absence of marketing and sales activity.
Some of you noticed that I did not make a year-in-review video this year. Not for lack of transparency or enthusiasm, but simply for lack of time.
The pace of change in artificial intelligence (AI), the changes it is accelerating, and the geopolitical situation have reshuffled the whole deck. They led me to rethink both the structure and infrastructure, as well as how we work.
So it is time to take a proper look at where things stand.
Business first.
2025 – ScalarX
To ensure that ScalarX would no longer fall under the Irish Section 441 surcharge regime for service companies in 2025, I began a thorough transformation of its business model back in 2024. Completed at the end of 2024, that transformation was confirmed by the 2025 results and accounts.
In 2025, I therefore reduced our longstanding consulting, engineering and security services to zero, along with Better Call Brain, then fully offset the corresponding revenue by developing StackX and ScalarCloud.
The bet paid off, with higher revenue as a bonus and a net profit that remained positive despite heavy investment in infrastructure.
As you will see on the new site, those areas of expertise have obviously not disappeared, but they no longer constitute the heart of ScalarX's business model.
2026 – Override Capital
The thinking started in the last quarter of 2025, and 2026, still underway, has since brought many changes. With my health improving, I needed to give all of my projects a coherent, lasting and robust structure for the future, which led to the creation of a dedicated holding company: Override Capital.
It is a family holding company owned 100% by its founders, with two aims.
On the one hand, to manage, operate and finance all of our projects in a way that is simpler, more lasting, more robust and more effective.
On the other hand, to have a structure dedicated to investment or acquisition operations, with a focus on managed infrastructure, cybersecurity and deep tech, notably artificial intelligence, biotechnologies and space.
The approach is deliberately direct: work remote-first between Europe, the United States and Asia, actually involve ourselves in operations rather than remaining passive investors, use what we already know how to do to turn service models into product models, and keep decisions simple, fast, without useless layers.
2026 – ScalarX
No sooner had I finished turning a service company into a business based on recurring products than another major project was waiting for me. Its first phase should be completed after the summer.
It all starts from a deep conviction: AI is not simply going to improve a few tools or automate part of the work, it is fundamentally changing the game in many fields, and the companies that do not manage to transform themselves in the coming years are going to disappear.
Last February, I therefore started another transformation: anticipate this change by progressively transforming all of my activities into "Singularity Companies", that is, companies capable of understanding themselves, modelling themselves and improving themselves.
That is how Elora was born, both my strategic AI partner and the central intelligence layer of this transformation.
Elora is an operational memory, an exploration system, a tool for making decisions and an interface for analysis and execution. She will progressively connect my ideas, my projects, my infrastructure, my documents, my protocols, my constraints and my objectives.
The idea is not simply "to use AI", but to build, around all of my activities, a real augmented nervous system, capable of understanding the context, connecting weak signals, documenting, executing and continuously developing the whole.
That is exactly what I mean by "Singularity Company": a company that does not settle for adding AI to its existing way of working, but that equips itself with a memory, a capacity for analysis, a capacity for action and an improvement loop of its own.
I did not put everything else on hold for this transformation: the business kept growing while the new model was being built.
By 1 July, ScalarX's ARR in Europe, that is, its annual recurring revenue excluding one-off services, passed €700k.
Next step: one million in ARR!
Personally, especially my health
Since September 2025, I have been much less rigorous with my protocol and I had to make certain temporary trade-offs. I did not "stop everything", but I had to adjust and ease off on some elements.
Just my luck: when I wanted to get back to it, the problems came one after another.
I first had to undergo an operation on my arm to remove a growth presenting a risk of melanoma, a higher risk in my case since I am on infliximab. The tests fortunately ruled out a melanoma, but the operation forced me to avoid all exertion for nearly two months.
At the same time, I moved from infliximab infusions to self-injections at home every two weeks. The fourth injection went very badly, to the point of knocking me out for several weeks, with a deterioration in some biomarkers that really made me fear I had suddenly lost two years of effort.
I skipped the fifth injection, then resumed the protocol and have had five more injections since, with no new comparable episode.
Things finally returned to normal and I am gradually starting to reintroduce the elements of my protocol that were suspended or had become irregular, aiming to be fully back on track after the summer.
The YouTube channel
I know some of you consider this subject my very own Arlésienne. Those who know, know. But the "real" videos and livestreams will also be back soon.
I was nevertheless pleased to see that the simple shorts and recent mini-videos, most of them made during my walks, got the channel's growth going again after a long dry spell. A few days ago, the 38,000-subscriber mark was reached.
That is the broad outline of the news.
Take care of yourselves, and see you soon!
