Some people need to get ready…

Christophe Casalegno having a snoozeas if they were heading to the office before they can get to work… Some… but not all!

I do not have set hours, whether for working, eating, playing, walking, reading, or sleeping: I have no daily routine. A little more than a year ago now, I launched a new business, which I will soon expand and roll out much more widely. It has given me the best hourly return I have had in my whole life.

To achieve this, I have abandoned productivity for good in favor of effectiveness. But… there is a trade-off : being able to make myself available within a few minutes if necessary. Speed of execution, in my business, is the exceptional value multiplier that most directly impacts my revenue.

For some, this trade-off is an ordeal, but in my case, being able to switch from sleep to waking, from work to play, is above all a direct route to greater freedom. Being "always ready", working with interruptions, switching from one state or one task to another, and not "disconnecting" from a first task while moving on to the second, can be learned.

I will soon be hiring for a new technical position, fully remote, focused on Linux system administration. If there are a few nutcases interested, let me know in the comments. If so, I will try to share my main tips for learning and developing this "superpower" in a future post.

If you already have this skill, or manage to develop it in the future, and like the idea of working with me: you will exponentially increase your chances of being selected.

About the picture: this "morning" (it is 11:39 where I am), I went from "sleepy time" to work after 3 hours of sleep. A duvet as workwear: three technical interventions and one "technical sales" reply. The rest of the day has yet to be written!

Have a great day, everyone!
