Half a century: I am 50!

Yesterday I turned 50, half a century: yes, I think that sounds more "dramatic".

In 1986, I acquired my handle, (Brain 0verride) and inherited an obsession: understand, build, be free to go beyond the limits imposed by reality.

In 1999, I met my beloved. The woman I told I never intended to marry or have a child. The one who became my wife a few years later, Sandra, and with whom, obviously, I also had a child ;) We have been together for 26 years. More than half my life so far.

1999 is also the year I understood that if I wanted to reach my objectives, I could only do it by starting my own company: Digital Network. A brand I still own today.

From then on, I spent more than 25 years creating companies, projects, systems, mainly in IT, but also composing, writing poems, songs, articles, posts, programs.

I learned that most people confuse complexity with value, and that when the solution becomes more complex than the problem, it is a bad solution. Since then, I have sought to design systems that are at once simple, robust, and effective.

In 2015, we left France for the Irish west coast. A choice about how to live, and in what kind of society, driven by a need for less "noise"… and more depth. There we founded ScalarX (with its twin company in the USA), Life Override, as well as other projects currently taking shape, which you will hear about soon ;) To sum up: solid foundations spanning different regions and fields of activity, built around security, resilience and independence.

In 2020, a month in hospital, and a diagnosis: Crohn’s disease. "Incurable". That changed many things, including the order of my priorities. When your body gives out on you and your immune system becomes an unstable and chaotic system, you no longer have many options. And "accepting my lot" is not among the options acceptable to me.

In 2023, I "meet" Bryan Johnson and the Blueprint protocol. In 2024, I start taking biohacking seriously. A few months later, I formalized my approach: Life Override, an open-source protocol and a personalized algorithm to take back control, with the same logic I use for technical infrastructure: observability, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.

At 50, I have not "arrived". I am aligned.

And what next? Continue to build, publish, share, optimize. Protect my time, my energy, and above all everything I love: my family, my friends, my projects, my freedom.

As I write these words, I am looking straight ahead. Even if dark years seem to be looming over Europe, I remain convinced that the next decade is going to pack in more change than the previous 50.

Those who win will not be "those who know", but those who understand, adapt fast and execute, without limits, without barriers, while keeping a clear head.
