Brain Firewall: manage a firewall in bash on Linux

Archive · Replaced toolBrainfw has been replaced by SxWall. The script and its historical presentation remain available here.

Firewall

Hello, I said in this video that I would publish the script after reviewing it. Well, I have not had time to review it or clean it up, but it works. If you want to know more about it, I invite you to watch this video:

It is very simple to use:

1) To block an IP address

./brainfw.sh block ip 192.168.1.15

2) To block an address range

./brainfw block ip 192.168.0.0/24

3) To block a country

./brainfw block country countrycode (exemple : fr pour France)

To unblock, do the same thing but use « unblock » as the parameter instead of « block ». You can download it via the following link: brainfw.sh

Have fun.
